What we collect, why, for how long, and who is accountable for it. Updated September 27, 2026.

On this page

Osture measures public websites and fixes its clients’ sites. Part of the work means you trust us with some information: an email address, sometimes access to a platform. This page says exactly what we do with it.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information

Yaron Askal, owner of Osture. bonjour@osture.ca

Why it is written here

Quebec’s Law 25 requires this person to be named and their contact details published. It is the same check we run on your site in the Law 25 section of every audit: it would be wrong not to pass it ourselves. For context: among the businesses we measure in our trades, not a single one names a person in charge.

What we collect

What we do not do

For how long

An audit request that goes nowhere is deleted after 12 months. A client’s information is kept for the length of the relationship, then seven years for the accounting records tax law requires us to keep. Platform access is destroyed within thirty days of the end of the contract.

Measurements of public sites are kept indefinitely: the history is what gives the survey its value. They contain no personal information.

Where it is kept

Emails are hosted in Canada and the United States by our email provider. Requests sent through the audit request window are received by this site’s host, Netlify, in the United States, which forwards them to us by email; they stay there until we delete them, within the periods above. Measurements and documents are kept on a computer in Quebec and in a cloud copy. If any other information had to leave Quebec, we would tell you before, not after.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to withdraw your consent. Write to the person named above; we answer within thirty days. If the answer does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
